Thanks For Supporting Celebrating Kansas

On behalf of the Kansas Amateur Board members I would like to thank everyone who came to our show in May. Looked pretty bleak on Thursday morning but by the end of Sunday it turned out to be a terrific show.

Thank you to Shannon Justice and Debra Powers for the wonderful dinner they provided. I also want to thank JJS Stables for their donation of the belt buckle and trophy for the minnow races. The minnow races were fun for participants and spectators alike. No minnows were hurt during the races and were all released into the pond at the coliseum to live out their natural life. Thank you to Rosanne, Julie and Sidney for organizing the event. Roberta Jaye was the eventual winner and Brad Weller received the “DAL” last place trophy.

I cannot thank all the volunteers enough for their help. The announcing, delivering shavings, ring stewarding, set trail, running the gate, handing our ribbons, and all of the other jobs that are essential to run the show smoothly. Thank you goes out to Bucklin Tractor and Implement and JJS Stables for the use of the gator and mule to move shavings. Thank you to all the amateurs who donated items and everyone who purchased items from the silent auction.

Thank you to the following donors who help make our show successful. CJ Quarter Horses; CA Cofer; Reno Co Horse Show; City of Park City; Holterman Vet Clinic; Brad Weller Training, Karen Russell Training, Hofferosa Ranch; Aaron Hall Training; Denny Hassett Training; Jess Herd Training; Billy Allen Products; Progressive Nutrition; Craig and Ryan Cole Training; Ron McKown Training; David Mellott Training; Mufin Ranch; Pam Wilson and Bell Fork Ranch; Peggy Pickford and Bull and Sandy Parker. Please forgive me if I have left anyone out. Again, thank you to everyone for making our show successful once again. Sue Nickel
