KQHA Web & Newsletter Publishing Policy

Recently there have been several questions as to the policy and participation of KQHA in promoting special events and fund raisers for members. The board of directors has directed me as web master/publisher to honor all requests for publicity for events being put on by our members that are related to our primary activity of promoting the American Quarter Horse and people involved with such. Any member is free to submit their events to me at tpickford@aol.com for inclusion on the web site and in the newsletter (space permitting). We ask that your submission not be libelous, obscene or pornographic in nature and if the submission involves an event for the purposes of fund raising for another member, that you have that persons permission to promote this event on their behalf. Examples of eligible events are 4-H and FFA events in which members participate, open shows within the state, clinics, sales, benefits for disabled riding clubs, benefits for individuals suffering hardships and discipline specific events.

If you are including an attachment with a document that you want used "as is" the document needs to be either a PDF format or convertible to that format for inclusion on the website. Formats suitable for conversion are Microsoft Word, Publisher and Excel documents however if the document contains overlaid pieces and lots of complexity it may not convert to be the same as the original in which case I reserve the right to simplify the document. Items submitted on paper will not be retyped, they will be scanned as is with no guarantee as to quality.

Items can be submitted for inclusion on the web site at any time. Items for the newsletter have the following deadline:

January - Dec 15th
March - Feb 15th
May - April 15th
July - June 15th
September - August 15th
November - October 15th
