2010 KQHA Survey

The KQHA board of directors is currently reviewing the direction & effectiveness of the organization as part of the Affiliates In Motion (AIM) program that is directed by AQHA for its state & regional affiliates. Your input is very valuable to us in determining which programs to continue and what to implement in the future. If you either are currently a member, have been a member in the past or are considering joining KQHA we would like to hear from you. Please take a few minutes of your time to print out this questionnaire and mail it in to the KQHA office at:

13. At the present time KQHA sponsors only AQHA approved horse shows with few/no jumping, cattle or speed classes. If KQHA were to add a group of classes to their shows you would participate in:

17. At the present time KQHA holds shows in Wichita, Topeka and Hutchinson. Shows in other areas are privately held. If KQHA were to consider adding any new shows or moving an existing one you would participate if the show(s) were held in:

18. At this time all shows are held at indoor arenas. If KQHA were to hold a show on a single day on the weekend at an outdoor location with lower entry fees would you:

19. With many horse shows being 70 classes or more they can last until after midnight. Split/combined shows offer the ability to have 2 shows over 2 days with the classes being split between the days . The downside is that these shows cost about $1500 - $2000 more to put on and you only show one time. When attending an AQHA show your preference is:
a. The single judged show which allows me to show twice in my class even though the days are long.
b. The split/combined show which splits the show in half making shorter days even though I only show once and the fees may be higher due to expenses of having 2 judges for 2 days.
c. I do not consider the type of show when selecting where to go.

20. AQHA has created a new option in which AQHA approved classes may be held at open shows with the option to limit exhibitors to those who meet the AQHA Limited Rider category. AQHA judges must officiate at these events. If an open show in your area were to hold AQHA classes:
a. I would participate at one of these events
b. I would not participate at one of these events

21. KQHA provides open show exhibitors with the KS Kounts open show recognition program. Year end awards are provided to members who nominate themselves. Any breed is eligible for awards.

22. KQHA co-sponsors several trail rides during the year at Brookville and Tipton. Which of the following would most encourage you to participate in one of the trail rides:
