February Amateur Presidents Letter

Hello to all of you. I hope the start of 2008 has been a good one for you.

While we missed several of you at the convention in Salina, it was a nice one. The awards this year for
Open, Amateur and Youth were, once again, GREAT. A big thank you needs to go to Peggy Pickford and Debra
Powers for going to the top for amateur awards on a limited budget. Also, a thank you to Shannon Justice,
our out going secretary. She did a great job for us the 5 or more years she served. She is now our 2008
amateur show manager !

2008 marks a new location and dates for our amateur show. May 15-18th in Wichita. Mark your calanders
and tell all your friends !!

Our 08 amateur board has a new face. Welcome Kathy Green, our new secretary. Also, welcome back Kathryn
James. John Rose, Dia Weinsburger, Mary Mages, Debra Powers, and Sue Nickel are back for another year.

Please remember, your board members are here for you. If you have any suggestions, questions, ideas,
anything, please do not hesitate to contact anyone of us. We all have working phones with message machines
and email addresses !!

We are all looking forward to a great 2008.
