Long Time KQHA Member Roger McFadden Passes Away
Long time KQHA member Roger Joe McFadden, 64, Wichita, KS passed away Sunday January 7, 2006 at his home. Roger was born October 30, 1942 in Carthage, MO to Joe H. McFadden and DeVaughn ( Kyte) McFadden. He was a graduate of Carthage High School, Class of 1960 and received his BA degree in Business from Kansas State Teacher's College, Pittsburg, KS. Roger was a pharmaceutical rep for several pharmaceutical companies in the Wichita area. He was active in Quarter Horse competition showing. He was instrumental in starting the Kansas Amateur Quarter Horse Association and the KAQHA futurity. He was a member of the Emporia Non-Denominational Church, Emporia, Kansas. Survivors include his father, Joe H. McFadden, Monett, MO; one brother, Rodney Allen McFadden and wife Cheryl, Monett, MO; one niece, three nephews, aunts, uncles and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, DeVaughn McFadden. Memorial gifts may be sent to St. John's Hospice in care of Knell Mortuary, Carthage, MO.
